Can I replace the greaseless cap on my Rapid Hitch Combo Ball?
When you purchase a Rapid Hitch, you receive a lifetime warranty on the greaseless caps. All you have to do is submit a warranty claim and our customer service department will send you the correct sized greaseless caps. Once you’ve received your new greaseless caps, here are instructions for how to securely place them on the Rapid Hitch ball:
Heat up the greaseless cap in boiling water
We suggest placing the greaseless cap in boiling water for approximately 5 minutes. This will allow the greaseless cap to expand and make it easier to press on the ball.
While warm, place greaseless cap on ball
Make sure the inner rim of the greaseless cap is pressed over the ridge of the top of the ball.
Wait for greaseless cap to form to ball
As the greaseless cap cools, it will contract around the ball to hold for future towing.
