Can I adjust the chain length for my WD hitch?

If you need to adjust the length of your weight-distribution hitch, simply add or remove links as necessary (from the shackle end).

You can SHORTEN the chain (a maximum of 2 links shorter) or ADD several links to the chain (as many links as needed) with no adverse effect. 
NOTE: If you do remove/add any chain links, be sure to remove/add the same number of links from both chains.
